About this event

We'll be meeting for a Many Minds workshop at Kuumba Centre at 20 Hepburn Road in St Paul's. This is our first in-person workshop of the year and we'd love to see you there - book your free place here!

Workshop time runs from 5.30-8pm with doors opening at 5.15pm.

There is a 'waiting list' you can join if it looks like all the places have gone and we'll get in touch if one becomes available. This can be a great way to get a space and it's always worth doing, even if you just decide to come on the day.

Please make sure that you read our new winter Covid-19 Policy before you attend. We will keep distanced and wear masks. Information on this is below.

Do wrap up warm as we will keep the room ventilated as much as we can, and bring your own water bottle or hot drink as we're cutting down on plastic waste. Small snacks will be available.

To find us on the day go through the archway with Kuumba Centre written above it and go in the white door on your left as soon as you enter the courtyard. Go right along the corridor and you'll find the meeting room. You can lock up your bike in the courtyard, and car parking is usually available on Hepburn Road, if not then you will find somewhere nearby.

Any questions? Do not hesitate to get in touch with Laura on 07732 291250 or laura@many-minds.org

We're looking forward to seeing you!

Please read our current Covid Safety Measures

COVID measures  and details about the workshop space:

  • Kuumba Centre has a large room where workshops will take place. We will be maintaining a physical distance of 1 metre (1m) at all times including breaks
  • Two doors will be open in the venue during the workshop to allow for ventilation. When it becomes too cold (below 18°C), we will close one or two doors
  • We ask participants to wear masks during the session. Please bring your own mask that covers your mouth and nose. If you forget Many Minds staff will have a spare mask for you to use
  • Anyone who is exempt from wearing masks should bring their exemption pass/ wear their lanyard during the session. Please let Laura, our Access Worker, or another member of staff know that you are exempt before the workshop if you can
  • Please only remove your mask to eat or drink
  • There will be a Covid venue induction showing you around and explaining how many people can be in each space and which toilets to use
  • If you have had Covid symptoms or been in contact with anyone with Covid symptoms in the last two days, you should not attend the workshop
  • Symptoms are a high temperature, dry cough, change in sense of smell or taste and the Delta variant symptoms which include headaches and runny nose
  • If you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive, we ask that you PCR test and receive a negative result or wait 10 days before returning to in-person sessions
  • Please do not attend if you have been asked to isolate
  • If you have been to a Many Minds event in the last two days and have a positive result on a lateral flow test or PCR please let a member of staff know as soon as possible – try Laura in the first instance (laura@many-minds.org or 07732 291250)
  • Please continue to observe good hand hygiene and minimise touching your face, mouth, nose and shared items or touch points like door handles
  • Wipes and sanitiser will be positioned in areas with equipment, food and generally around working spaces

  • If 2m+ from others cannot be maintained we will continue the activity working side by side, facing away from each other or wearing masks to mitigate the risk
  • To prevent the spread of Covid droplets sound levels of music being played will not have any volume greater than necessary for the related activity and rehearsals will be run at a low volume
  • If you feel that you need to raise your voice or shout to have a conversation please consider if you can step outside to continue
  • We encourage you to take a free lateral flow test before attending the in-person workshops. These can be ordered for free here: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
  • Staff and volunteers take lateral flows before in-person workshops
  • Quiet space – there is a small meeting room to the side of the main hall which we will be using as a quiet space for anyone who needs to take some time out. Up to four people can use this space at any time
  • Outdoor space – there is a newly finished outdoor space which can be used to get a breath of fresh air during the session and during breaks

Our aim is to have fun, make theatre and keep everyone safe!
